Reigne Waugh's strong close to the regular season earns ACCAC Player of the Week recognition

Pima Community College women's basketball player Reigne Waugh played a big part in its regular season finale as she earned ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 22-28.

  • Waugh, a freshman guard, finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals as the Aztecs beat Mesa Community College 74-60 to close out the regular season. She shot 40 percent (6-for-15) from the field and 85.7 percent (6-for-7) from the free throw line.
  • She has played and started in all 29 games averaging 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.4 assists per game.

Waugh was named second team All-ACCAC/All-Region I and took home two ACCAC Division II Player of the Week honors. Her first was for Nov. 9-15.
