Ahdiayh Chee is flawless from beyond the arc as Women's Basketball topples Cuyamaca College

The Pima Community College women's basketball team (5-2) retuned to the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Friday for a non-conference match against Cuyamaca College.

  • The No. 7 ranked Aztecs took a double-digit lead after the first quarter on their way to a 97-35 win.
  • The Aztecs went up 29-14 after the first quarter and held the Coyotes to just 10 points between the second and third quarters. Pima outscored them 24-4 in the second and 26-6 in the third quarter.
  • Freshman Reigne Waugh scored a team-high 18 points to go with seven rebounds, four steals, three assists and one block.
  • Sophomore Ahdiayh Chee (Dobson HS) could not be contained from three-point range as she went 5 for 5 and finished with 17 points.
  • Sophomore Kiley Sours-Miller (Dream City HS) closed out the game with 16 points, six rebounds and five blocks while freshman Lucy Fisher (Mesquite HS) posted a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Sophomore Melicia Nelson (Window Rock HS) fell short of a triple-double as she contributed with six points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to go with three steals and three blocks.

The Aztecs open ACCAC conference on Wednesday, Dec. 3 when they play at Phoenix College. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
