Reatta Danhof claims ACCAC Division I Individual crown as Women's Cross Country takes second place
The Pima Community College women's cross country team competed at the ACCAC Division I Conference Championships on Friday held at the Glendale Heroes Regional Park.
- The No. 19 ranked Aztecs took second place with a score of 37 points. Central Arizona College finished first with 25 points and the College of Southern Nevada closed out in third place with 73 points.
- Sophomore Reatta Danhof (Ironwood Ridge HS) claimed the ACCAC Division I Individual title after she took first place in the 5K race with a time of 19 minutes, 04 seconds, setting a new collegiate personal record.
- Freshman Ella Allred (Benson HS) finished the race in seventh place with a time of 20:22 while sophomore Linda Rivero (Desert View HS) set a new PR for herself after taking eighth place with a time of 20:26.
- Sophomore Mariah Cruz (Mountain View HS) rounded out the top 10 as she crossed the finish line at 20:33. Sophomore Alyssa Perez (Agua Fria HS) took 11th place at 20:36 and set a new collegiate personal record for herself.
- All five team scorers, as well as freshman Elexia Aragon (Flowing Wells HS), who took 12th place (20:45), freshman Karlee Pope, who was 13th (20:48) and Elizabeth Coppola (Pusch Ridge Christian HS), who was 15th (21:08) earned All-ACCAC honors.
The Aztecs will compete at the Vaquero CAMPY races on Saturday, Oct. 5. It will be held at Central Arizona College. The first race will begin at 7:00 p.m.
