Kymia Bridgett earns NJCAA All-American status in Triple Jump as Women's Track & Field closes out 2026 season

The Pima Community College women's track & field team closed out the 2026 season on Saturday in the final day of the NJCAA Division I National Championships in Hobbs, NM.

  • The Aztecs finished in 21st place with a total of 10 points. New Mexico Junior College took first place in the final standings with 107.50 points.
  • Sophomore Kymia Bridgett capped off her season becoming a two-time NJCAA All-American in the Triple Jump. She took sixth place with a mark of 12.44 meters (40-feet, 9.75-inches) earning three team points.
    Bridgett completed her only season with the Aztecs, becoming an NJCAA Indoor National Champion, ACCAC Conference Champion and Region I Champion in the Triple Jump. She was also a three-time ACCAC Field Athlete of the Week.

  • Lilyanne Dawson (Empire HS) – 12th place in Discus 40.35 meters (132-5)

The Aztecs captured their second straight Region I Team Championship and also secured the ACCAC Conference Team Championship.
