Clarissa Figueroa's .538 batting average earns ACCAC Player of the Week honors
Pima Community College softball player Clarissa Figueroa (Mountain View HS) was a force on offense for the week of Feb. 1-7 as she was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week.
- Figueroa, a sophomore infielder, went 7-for-13 (.538 batting average) with eight runs scored, six RBIs with three walks and two doubles as the Aztecs went 4-0 earning ACCAC conference sweeps over Mesa and Glendale Community College. She had multiple hits in three of the four games.
- Figueroa has played in all 11 games batting .472 with 17 runs scored, 16 RBIs, seven doubles and five walks so far this season.
The No. 6 ranked Aztecs picked up a doubleheader sweep at Paradise Valley Community College on Tuesday and will hit the road to play an ACCAC conference doubleheader on Saturday at South Mountain Community College. The first game starts at noon.
