Taylor Brown's conference title finish in the 400 meters earns ACCAC Athlete of the Week

Pima Community College men's track & field athlete Taylor Brown (Centennial HS, NV) had quite a showing at the ACCAC Conference Meet last Friday at Mesa Community College and his efforts received notice from the conference.

  • Brown, a sophomore sprinter, was named ACCAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this season; first as the outright recipient. He earned Co-Track Athlete of the Week for his 400-meter race at the Al Shirley Indoor Invitational on Jan. 17.
  • Brown took first place in the 400 meters with a time of 46.47 seconds, tying his own Pima school record, and capturing the ACCAC Conference Championship.

The Aztecs will compete at the GCC Outdoor Invitational on Saturday at Glendale Community College. Events begin at 3:00 p.m.
