Will Feagles hits 10 3-pointers, Gerron Graham post triple-double as Men's Basketball improves to 24-0

The Pima Community College men's basketball team (24-0) stepped away from ACCAC Division II conference play on Wednesday for a match with Community Christian College (1-20).

  • The No. 4 ranked Aztecs defeated the Saints 133-65 for their 24th straight victory.
  • The Aztecs led early but created some space with a 7-0 run to make it 18-9. Up 22-13, they went on an 18-0 run in a little over five minutes to take a 40-13 advantage. Pima led 62-24 at halftime.
  • Pima used a 16-1 run halfway into the second half to go up 110-51. They outscored the Saints 71-41 in the second half.
  •  Freshman Will Feagles (Notre Dame Prep) scored a game-high 35 points after he went 11-for-16 from the field and 10-for-13 from beyond the arc. He also had five rebounds and three assists.
  • Freshman Gerron Graham (Premier Prep Academy) posted a triple-double as he finished with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 20 assists. He was 4-for-7 from the field and had three steals.
  • Sophomores Isaac Johnson, Mason Hunt (Bradshaw Mountain HS) and Brock Mendoza each scored 17 points as they went a combined 20-for-28 from the field (71 percent). Johnson posted a double-double as he added 10 rebounds. Mendoza had five blocks.
  • Sophomore Mason Tippett (Cienega HS) contributed with 14 points off the bench as he was 7-for-10 from the field to go with five rebounds and two blocks. Freshman Rowan McKenzie (Boulder Creek HS) finished the game with 12 points, four rebounds and four assists.
  • The Aztecs shot 64.1 percent (50-for-78) from the field, 60 percent (15-for-25) from three-point range and 90 percent (18-for-20) from the free throw line.

The Aztecs get back to ACCAC conference play on Saturday when they head to Scottsdale Community College. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m.
