Isaac Johnson averages 29.5 points to earn ACCAC Division II Player of the Week

Pima Community College men's basketball player Isaac Johnson (Oakland HS, CA) produced a pair of strong outings for the Aztecs as it went 2-0 during the week of Nov. 2-8.

  • Johnson, a sophomore guard/forward, was selected ACCAC Division II Player of the Week.
  • He averaged 29.5 points and went 28 for 31 (90.3 percent) from the field along with 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He also had four blocks and four steals.
  • Johnson scored 17 points and went 8 for 8 shooting against Community Christian College and followed that with a 42-point outburst as he finished 20 for 23 from the floor in their win against Benedictine University Mesa JV.

The Aztecs will return to the West Campus Aztec Gym tonight when they host Arizona Christian University JV at 5:30 p.m.
