Baseball hurler Lucas Casey named ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week

Sophomore RHP Lucas Casey (Canyon del Oro HS) was named ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday for the previous week of Mar. 16-22. He pitched a five-inning complete game, giving up four hits with eight strikeouts and three walks in Pima's win over GateWay Community College on Mar. 18. Pima Community College baseball pitcher Lucas Casey (Canyon del Oro HS) was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week on Wednesday for the week of Mar. 16-22.

Casey, a sophomore RHP, pitched a five-inning complete game as the Aztecs beat GateWay Community College 10-0 on Mar. 18. He gave up four hits with eight strikeouts and three walks on 86 pitches.
He has pitched 34.0 innings so far this season with a 4-2 record and a 4.24 ERA. Casey has given up 16 earned runs with 41 strikeouts and 22 walks.

The Aztecs return to the West Campus Aztec Field on Saturday for an ACCAC conference doubleheader against Glendale Community college. First pitch is at 12:00 p.m.
