Nash named All-Conference and All-Region; Deeter earns All-Conference

Pima Community College volleyball players Madi Nash (Sahuaro HS) and Kendall Deeter (Mountain View HS) received recognition from the conference and the region for the second straight year.

  • Nash, a sophomore outside hitter, was named second team All-ACCAC and to the NJCAA Region I, Division I team. She played in all 25 matches and in 89 sets. She led the Aztecs with 278 kills (3.12 per set), 273 digs (3.07 per set), 857 total attacks and 317.0 points (3.6 per set). Nash also produced 14 double-doubles in points and digs. She was named All-ACCAC Honorable Mention last season as a freshman.
  • For the second straight year, Deeter, a sophomore middle blocker, was named All-ACCAC Honorable Mention. She played in 21 matches and 68 sets. She finished the regular season with 142 kills (2.09 per set), 61 total blocks, 355 total attacks and 195.0 points.

The Aztecs will be the No. 3 seed in the NJCAA Region I, Division II Tournament. They will open the double-elimination tournament against No. 2 seeded Glendale Community College on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
