Nash leads the way as Aztecs volleyball dominates Grand Canyon University Club

The Pima Community College volleyball team earned its 10th win of the season on Friday in a non-conference win against Grand Canyon University Club (0-3).

  • The Aztecs (10-8) won in straight sets 25-14, 25-18, 25-22.
  • Freshman Madi Nash (Sahuaro HS) finished the match with nine kills, 13 digs and two aces. Freshman Ashlee Sappington (Mountain View HS) had seven kills while freshman Jade Romine (Canyon del Oro HS) posted six kills, 15 digs and one block.
  • Freshman Kaleigh Hockett (Desert Mountain HS) had 27 assists and freshman Grace Adams (Sabino HS) finished with 11 digs.

The Aztecs will be back at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium on Wednesday when they host Phoenix College at 7:00 p.m. The Aztecs beat the Bears in Phoenix last month in straight sets.
