Aztecs women's soccer fall behind early in loss at No. 8 Phoenix College

The Pima Community College women's soccer team (8-7-3) lost control early in its game on Tuesday at Phoenix College.

  • The Aztecs surrendered two goals in the first four minutes and lost 3-1 to No. 8 ranked Phoenix College (15-2-1).
  • Freshman Taylor Gutierrez (Tucson HS) put the Aztecs on the scoreboard with her goal on a penalty kick in the 80th minute.
  • The Aztecs trailed 2-0 at halftime and the Bears tacked on a third goal in the 77th minute.
  • The Aztecs finished with six shots on goal. Freshman Haven Chambers (Walden Grove HS) had four saves.

The Aztecs return to Kino North Stadium on Thursday when they host Cochise College at 4:30 p.m.
