Mich'l double-double earns her Player of the Week honors

Pima Community College women's basketball player Sierra Mich'l produced a great game last Saturday against Arizona Christian University Junior Varsity and received praise from the ACCAC.

  • Mich'l, a 6-1 freshman forward from Desert Oasis High School in Las Vegas, NV, was named ACCAC Conference Division II Player of the Week.
  • Mich'l finished with a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds (six offensive, six defensive) in Pima's 98-53 win over the Firestorm. She was only 1 for 4 from the field but 9 for 10 from the free throw line.
  • In four games this season, Mich'l is averaging 8.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.0 block.

The Aztecs open ACCAC conference play tonight at Cochise College. Tip-Off is set for 5:30 p.m.
