Lawson's standout performance earns her ACCAC Player of the Week

Pima Community College women's basketball player Hallie Lawson (Campo Verde HS) put up tremendous numbers in last Wednesday's road game and earned conference recognition.

  • Lawson, a freshman forward, was selected ACCAC Division II Player of the Week on Tuesday for the week of Dec. 10-16.
  • Lawson scored 35 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Pima's 97-53 win at Tohono O'odham Community College. She went 16 for 18 from the field and also snatched five offensive rebounds.
  • She is averaging 8.3 points and 3.8 rebounds on the season.

The Aztecs are off until the Bruce Fleck Classic taking place from Dec. 31-Jan. 2 at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium. They play Bismarck State College on Monday, Dec. 31 at 7:00 p.m.
