The Pima Community College softball program made another local splash as it signed Analisa Gomez from Rincon/University High School.
- Gomez, an infielder, is the sister of former Aztecs softball outfielder Ariana Gomez (2017-2019), who was a 2-time NJCAA All-Academic student-athlete.
- Analisa Gomez has 63 career high school games under her belt with a .385 batting average, 69 hits, 46 runs, 45 RBIs and 12 steals.
- Coach's Quote: "Analisa is a coach's dream. This kid is a workhorse and does everything she's supposed to in the classroom and on the field," Pima softball coach Rebekah Quiroz said. "Nissa will be a solid utility/infielder for us and I expect her to come in and compete hard for second base.
"She is a lefty-hitter that hits consistently well to all fields. She is a silent force and makes everyone around her better," Quiroz added. "I'm so proud of the person and player she has become. I am honored to keep Analisa home on her own turf."
