The Pima Community College men's soccer team (7-2-1, 3-1 in ACCAC) found itself in another tug of war battle with Phoenix College (9-2, 4-1) on Thursday.

  • The No. 7 ranked Aztecs fell to the No. 11 ranked Bears 1-0 in double overtime. David Castenda scored for the Bears in the 104th minute.
  • The Aztecs had two chances in the first overtime. Freshman Estevan Manzo (Salpointe Catholic HS) had a shot that was just off the mark from the goal post. Sophomore Conner Cosgrove (Catalina Foothills HS) kicked a shot from 20 yards out that hit a combination of the goalkeeper's finger tips and the top of the goal post. It sailed over and went out of bounds.
  • The Aztecs finished with one shot on goal. Sophomore Nils Roth finished the game with three saves.

The Aztecs return to Kino North Stadium on Saturday to host Glendale Community College. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
