Aztecs men's soccer signs six Southern Arizona/Tucson All-Stars for 2019

The Pima Community College men's soccer team added eight players to its 2019 recruiting class; six from Southern Arizona and were recognized as first-team players.

  • The Aztecs signed state champions Adrian Virgen (Midfielder, Sunnyside HS), Ulysses Torres (Midfielder, Sunnyside HS), and Estevan Manzo (Midfielder, Salpointe Catholic HS). They also inked Samuel Lossou (Forward, Rincon/University HS), Javi Martinez (Midfielder, Tucson HS), and Emmanuel Leon (Midfielder, Tucson HS).
  • Virgen, Torres, Manzo, Lossou and Martinez were selected first team Southern Arizona Boys Soccer All-Stars on AllSportsTucson.com. Martinez was selected MVP of the 6A Boys Soccer All-Stars. Leon was named to the 6A Tucson All-Stars list.
  • The Aztecs also signed Christian De Los Rios, a defender from Tolleson High School and Luis Huerta, a midfielder from Casa Grande High School.

The Aztecs were the 2018 NJCAA Division I National Champions. They'll hold their first practice on Aug. 1 and will play their first game at the end of August.
