Men's soccer defender Zawadi signs to Fairleigh Dickinson University

Pima Community College men's soccer sophomore Kaskile Zawadi (Cholla HS) signed his national letter of intent on Wedneaday and will continue his collegiate career at the four-year university level.

Zawadi, a defender, signed with Fairleigh Dickinson University, an NCAA Division I school in Teaneck, NJ.

Zawadi was part of a defense that smothered opponents in route to capturing the NJCAA Division I championship. The defense gave up 17 goals in 28 games as the Aztecs produced 17 shutout victories.

He was selected first team 2018 United Soccer Coaches All-West Region, second team NJCAA All-American and first team All-ACCAC/Region I. 

Zawadi played in all 28 games; making 26 starts in the backfield. He is the third Pima defender to sign with a Division I school. Daniel Suazo (Tucson HS) signed to Adams State University and Jacob Pacheco signed with Siena College.
