The Pima Community College football team (2-1) was in a high-scoring affair on Saturday at Phoenix College.
- The Aztecs and the Bears combined to score 105 points as Pima downed Phoenix College 64-41.
- Freshman quarterback Brooks Ringer could not be stopped as he accounted for six of Pima's touchdowns. He threw five touchdown passes and ran for an 8-yard score. Sophomore Larry Rembert was Ringer's favorite target in the first half as he caught seven passes for 211 yards and a touchdown.
- Ringer threw two touchdowns to sophomore Jon Cole, who finished with six catches for 104 yards. Sophomores Ronson Young and Dylan Holt also had touchdown grabs.
- The defense and special teams also put points on the board for the Aztecs. Sophomore Leonard Lee scored on a 50-yard interception return in the first quarter. Freshman Macarius Blount (Mountain Pointe HS) scored on a 101-yard kickoff return in the third quarter to make it 56-27.
The Aztecs will host their first home game of the season next Saturday against Scottsdale Community College at Kino North Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
